Passover Music Festival
For more than fifty years, we have been delighted, challenged, and inspired by music from a variety of genres presented as the Passover Music Festival. (Learn about the history of the festival.)
With great excitement, we announce this year’s Passover Music Festival: ACAFEST 2011! We hope you will join us on Friday, April 29 at 7:30 for a short service followed by the concert.
We are bringing together three a cappella groups from colleges in the Boston area: VoiceMale from Brandeis University, Shir Appeal from Tufts, and Kol Echad from Boston University. Many of you will remember Kol Echad’s performance last year, which was a rousing success – and by popular demand, we are bringing you more!
Each of the groups brings its own style and personality to this performance. You can expect to hear a variety of music that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary music and culture – songs you may recognize from the liturgy, from summer camp, and from Kiss108. You may hear an arrangement of “Eili Eili” one moment, and a setting of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” the next. It will be a spectacular evening, followed by a gala Oneg.
Temple Sinai’s Passover Music Festival is supported entirely by contributions from our members. We need your help! In addition to joining us on April 29, we are asking for your financial support. Please use the form below to support this wonderful program!
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on April 29.
Sincerely,
The Passover Music Festival Committee
