The spirit of giving runs deep at Temple Sinai. For a congregation of our size, we have been remarkably fortunate to be able to respond to crises, challenges, and needs through the generosity of our members. Whether re-building the religious school after a devastating fire, replacing stolen Torah scrolls, ensuring that our sanctuary is accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability, renovating our social hall, sponsoring an annual music festival every Passover for the past fifty years, endowing programs in our religious school, or sustaining the annual Rabbi Beryl D. Cohon lecture series and other events, the Temple Sinai community has always given generously. We have recently launched a capital campaign to raise more than $2 million to make our lobby and auditorium more welcoming, to modernize the kitchen, and to refurbish classroom and staff spaces. A portion of the funds are also being used to support, in part, a new position: Assistant Rabbi for Engagement. Our annual Free Will Campaign and donations to commemorate life cycle events, honors, or yahrzeits also reflect both a commitment to and love for all that makes Temple Sinai such a unique and caring community.
